How To Get Firmer Skin With Cellulite Exercises

By Gal Bishop

Cellulite is a type of fat and everyone knows that diet and exercise affect fat loss. So, it makes sense that cellulite exercises, along with a good diet, can help you to get rid of unwanted cellulite.

A good program is all about losing cellulite the proper way. That means taking the time and putting in the work. There are no quick fixes. You need to be willing to eat properly and exercise, if you want to really lose cellulite.

When you think of exercises, you may think of cardio exercises, like aerobics or running on a treadmill. Well, those exercises certainly can help, but cardio isn't the only thing you need. You also need to build muscle mass and strength, if you want to lose cellulite. So, you'll need to do some strength training cellulite exercises, too.

Gaining muscle mass may not appeal to you, if you're thinking of professional bodybuilders. You don't have to look like a pro to gain muscle, though. In fact, muscle takes up less space than fat. So, if you lose a pound of body fat and gain a pound of muscle, you'll actually be skinnier.

Not everyone likes going to the gym. The nice thing is that you can do a lot of cellulite exercises right in your own home. For example, exercises like lunges and squats can help you burn fat. Those exercises are especially good because cellulite usually settles in the lower body.

So, how do you know how much exercise to do? Well, when it comes to cardio, experts recommend short but intense workouts. The technique is known as interval training. Let's look at an example for a treadmill workout.

When using the treadmill, it's important, as with any workout, to warm up. So, you should walk at a slow pace for about 5 minutes. Once you are warmed up, you should increase the speed or incline of the treadmill and workout for a short, yet intense, amount of time. The time could range from a few seconds to a few minutes, depending on your individual routine. Then slow down and have a cool down period.

Once you've gotten that routine down, repeat it many times. Just keep going from the high intensity workout to the low intensity and back again. This type of cellulite exercise can really work. It raises your metabolism and burns off the fat fairly quickly. In fact, even a 20 minute workout can make a big difference. Add strength training to that and you will be doing the ultimate cellulite exercises.
