Now, many of us get movie rentals regularly. Often we all wait to rent the box office hits, as an alternative to going to the theater. Here is a short list of some of the most popular DVD rentals in October 2008.

A different means of accessing movies is movie downloads. There are places online that you can get downloads of 1,000's of movies. This is a fantastic solution for those looking to build your movie library.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: Indiana is back in action, after a 19 year break. This makes four movies in the Indiana Jones series. In this, the latest adventure, An older Indiana takes on the Russians. This time everyone is searching for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, which are thought to have secret powers.

THE LAZARUS PROJECT: Ex con Ben Garvey seems to have gotten his act together. With a loving family, and steady paycheck, life is going in the right direction. Then, he unexplicably loses his steady paycheck, and he finds himself heading back into the criminal world. People die during an attempted robbery, and he is sentenced to death. He expects the lethal injection to kill him. Instead, he regains consciousness only to find himself in a mental hospital. He now fights for his sanity, and his spritual well being.

LINEWATCH: Michael Dixon is a veteran boarder patrolman in New Mexico, and life seems to be good. But Michael's past are going to threaten his future. He was a member of a violent Los Angeles gang, that he somehow got away from. When a bad twist of fate shows where he lives to his old gang leader, he and his family are put in a dangerous situation. He nust put it all on the line, and ensure that the gang can move illegal drugs from Mexico into the U.S.

THE INCREDIBLE HULK: This film is about Dr. Bruce Banner (Edward Norton), who has been transformed into the Hulk. The film is based on the comic character the Hulk. This movie stars Edward Norton, Tim Roth, William hurt, and Liv Tyler. The director is Louis Leterrier. This movie would be classified as a science fiction film.

DECEPTION: Accountant Jonathan McQuarry has an unusual meeting with charismatic corporate lawyer Wyatt Bose. This is an event that turns his life upside down. He learns about "The List", which provides access to a secret world of sexual indescretions. But, he also finds himself in a world of betrayal, treachery and murder.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a mission to discover what happened to his missing brother, science professor Trevor Anderson travels to Iceland that leads him to the center of the earth. This is a newer edition of the 1959 film, that was formed from the science fiction book by highly acclaimed author Jules Verne. Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers star in this adventure film.

THE HAPPENING: Science teacher Elliot Moore, with his wife and many other frightened people are getting away from the big city. The city has been thrown into chaos. Many people are being overcome by some strange illness, and are dying at their own hands. Can we overcome this problem, or are we witnessing the final acts of the human race?

IRON MAN: Playboy, engineer genius, Tony Stark is kidnapped by Afghan rebels. They command him to build missiles for the insurgent group. He sustained injuries while he was being captured, and he has shrapnel lodged in his chest. To save his life from this injury, and escape this predicament, he creates a suit made of armor, which protects and strengthens him. We have a new comic book super hero on the scene.

SPEED RACER: The 1990's television cartoon is now a movie hit. Similar to The Flinstones, Speed Racer was a TV cartoon that was turned to a movie with an actual cast. Speed Racer is a young man who loves racing. His goal is to win The Crucible, a major rally car race that his older brother lost his live in. Against all odds, and the family business on the line, he partners up with his arch rival Racer X, in an effort to capture the championship, so the family business won't go under.
