Myspace Hide Friends and other Hide Codes

By Robin Burrows

For those who have concern with having privacy on MySpace, there are several simple codes that you can utilize to shield your identity from strangers. While many groups, models, and bands are on MySpace to promote their careers, some individuals still prefer to have their pages hidden and protected. Fortunately there are many ways to keep a MySpace profile private.

You probably already know that you can set your page preference on 'private'. Your profile will be hidden for the most part by people who aren't on your friends list, although anyone can still see your contact table. If you'd prefer to not have strangers sending you a friend request or a PM, there are 'hide contact table codes' on MySpace graphics sites.

If you have no desire to hide your MySpace profile, but still wish to hide your friends, there are codes you can use to hide your friends list, even your top 8. This is especially a good idea if many of your top 8 friends are young; it will help hide their profiles from any untrustworthy adult that may come across your page.

There are also codes that can be used to keep your status invisible whenever you log on. If you don't wish for anyone, even your friends, to know when you're logged on, just use a 'hide online status' code. Of course you may already be familiar with the editing profile options for your MySpace page. You can easily and quickly edit your privacy options. You can choose to do this or use a copy and paste a 'hide online status' code from a MySpace codes site. There is also a code that you can use that will conceal your last login time.

There are also codes you can use to hide your 'about me' section and 'profile details'. You can easily hide your personal information from strangers. You could also use codes to make your own 'about me' graphics if you don't like the format that MySpace uses. Some people like filling out 'about me' surveys and putting them up on their MySpace to go with their own unique layout.

You can also apply a MySpace code to hide your comments. If you have comments from some friends that you'd rather your other friends not see, a 'hide comments' code will come in handy. Your MySpace page will also load a lot more quickly especially if you hide all of the large pictures some people like to leave for comments.

Now you know the many options available in protecting your MySpace identity. You can still hide parts of your MySpace page while keeping your profile unique. Now you can have fun on MySpace with your friends without having to worry about strangers looking at your profile.
