Is the plasma television returning back to the wall?

By Ron Macfairlane

One of the unique selling pointsof the plasma television was it's ability to hang from. The consumer had more space which was originally taken up by old fashioned TV stands and bulky TV's.

As the plasma TV became more main stream the manufacturers became more innovative with their TV stand designs and styles. They created a vast range of specially designed affordable television stands to suit the plasma TV.

The TV stand arrived in all styles, beautiful smoked glass , metal , classic wood and corner stands, all very demanding ranges. The stand was a perfect fit for all interior designs. Consequently most consumers turned their back on the TV wall mount and diverted back to the good old fashioned TV on a stand.

The two main reasons why they probably diverted back to the traditional TV stand instead of the new improved wall mount or wall brackets were :

1) They never quite got used to the TV hanging on the wall and they couldn't maximize on all the extra floor space available.

2) The new improved stylish Television stands were quite cheap in comparison to the price of the plasma which was only available to the selective few that had that type of expenditure.

Now the plasma television has become more affordable and within the reach of most house holds the stands seem a lot more expensive, in some cases the cost can be quite close to the plasma Tv itself.Consequently the choice to hang the Television on the wall again doesn't seem like such a bad idea.

We are looking for ways to save money without foregoing too many pleasures. Therefore the wall bracket appears to be the more sensible choice if you are trying to save pennies.

The Plasma be returning back to the wall.
