Kentucky Delicacies and More

Kentucky has certainly become synonymous with one thing and that it fried chicken. Thanks to the name of one of the most popular fast food franchises that we have today. Just the mention of this brings to mind the crispy yet juicy fried chicken that we all enjoy. Whether you like the spicy or original flavors nothing will ever beat having a Kentucky fried chicken. Though this fast food has branched out to many other places, there are still a lot of other delicacies you can try in Kentucky State.

Who would have thought that a state known for its fried chicken could produce a line of seafood delicacies? Hard to imagine but yes among the things that you will find in Kentucky are caviar, lobster and shrimp. With its weather that is humid subtropical it has become easy for this state to produce sea foods. These are often sold in supermarkets already packed and ready for cooking.

Among the interesting dishes that Kentucky has to offer is burgoo. This mixed meat stew also contains vegetables and is simmered down until none of the ingredients are recognizable. You could say that it is liquid meat. It is normal for this dish to have at least three types of meat in it. Folks in Kentucky just don't make these in their homes. It is often cooked in large quantities making it normal to see people standing over large pots at cook out mixing the stew with a rake.

There are many other interesting food offerings that you will find in Kentucky. One of the best places that you can discover these are at the craft fairs and festivals. You will be sure to come across something that is home made and has a special touch to it. There are numerous fairs and festivals which you can visit throughout the year.

A Kentucky craft fair or festival is always something interesting. Aside from the many things that you can see, it also provides a great opportunity for you to make money. If you are handy with making things or enjoy crafting as a hobby why not step it up a notch and sell the things that you make? There will always be room for you in Kentucky craft fairs.
