Tell Me About GI Joe Snake Eyes the Mute and His History

By Hawk Remington

You have found this article because you are a GI Joe addict just like me. And any GI Joe addict will absolutely remember Snake Eyes the GI Joe mute.

This action figure was my favorite. Snake eyes was very cool although he was mute. However, he was a well-trained ninja trained by none other than the Hard and Soft Master. Ass odd as these two masters' names are, they were the real deal.

When I was a youngster, I didn't care about the history of an action figure, I just wanted to own it. I can remember heading to the toy store and filling with anticipation about all of the GI Joes that I was going to have to choose from. Why could I have only one?

Once the action figure was acquired and fought many battles on my bed, I would grow bored with it. That's when reading the profile card would be a must. I had to learn more about my action figure to bring a new light to a worn out toy.

Snake Eyes was a Vietnam Veteran. Now that is cool and the story that Larry Hama had created for this character was very cool and very in-depth. The story was all about the History of Snake Eyes and how he unfortunately had become a mute. I had to learn more.

I would later grow fond of the GI Joe comic line and the awesome work of Larry Hama. His stories were and are still amazing and I soaked up every word about Snake Eyes and how he became a mute.

To this very day I still collect GI Joe action figures. I display Snake Eyes at the front of my growing collection. Trust me, its worth exploring the nostalgia of the GI Joe line especially if you owned and when you were young.
