Thus far the Detroit Redwings and the San Jose Sharks look to be the probable Western Conference finalists but the Calgary Flames must now be added to this list as very strong contenders with this acquisition. Now all that is needed is for Jokinen to show that he can respond to the challenge and help pull the Flames toward victory.
The calgary flames had to have Jokinen in order to be competitve in the Western conference. He is a big tough center who has the ability to score. A possible downside is his lack of experience in the Stanley Cup playoffs. But Jokinen himself says "It's a good feeling right now" which suggests that he is ready for the challenge.
