Here Are Some Natural Remedies For Anxiety

By Cheryl Pierce

Going through bouts of anxiety is not an easy thing to deal with. There are instances that it becomes too overwhelming causing some to be anti-social and to some extent, agorophobic, which is the state of being terrified to any outside forces. Doctors have provided remedies through medications that have served some purpose, but there are others, too who have developed such dependence on these drugs, making them totally helpless without it. Looking for an anxiety remedy? There are natural remedies for anxiety that can help meet those needs.

Relax with massage therapy. Massage reduces muscle tension, which naturally makes you feel less stressed. Massage also circulates your blood and allows oxygen and other nutrients to bathe tissues throughout your body. As if that were not enough, it also lowers the levels of stress hormones in your body, making you feel calm and relaxed all over!

Do not forget your B Complex Vitamins! These are essential vitamins that trim down stress levels in your brain and ease out the tension in your nerves. One of most natural remedies for anxiety is taking-in B complex vitamins consistently, giving you an all-time relaxation that you deserve.

Try the method of deep-breathing. Whenever you feel nervous, relax yourself by taking a deep breath, holding it for 7 seconds and then, release. You can do the exact breathing process for as long as you want and let those restless nerves settle down. Decreasing heart rate, lowering blood pressure and proper distribution of useful chemicals into the body are the benefits of constant deep breathing techniques.

Go ahead and take-in some green tea. It is one of the safest drink, with very insignificant caffeine content. Although most health-buffs would advise you not to drink anything with caffeine, green-tea has more beneficial component, the L-theanine. It is a type of amino acid that soothes the brain's restlessness and increases the levels of dopamine - a chemical that gives natural state of sedation.

Many studies have suggested that drinking green tea is such a powerful natural cure for anxiety that it is as effective as narcotic medication. The next time you are feeling anxious, reach for a cup of green tea (and if you are worried about the caffeine content, it's also available in a decaf version).
