7 Skinny Secrets - Easy Tips for Creating a Svelte Figure

By Marna Goldstein

Skinny people intrigue everyone. What has it taken them to get that figure, or is it simply the result of lucky jeans? Er, I mean genes People wonder if the skinny just got lucky or if they have to work really hard to stay thin.

Its both true and untrue.

We suspect that the skinny, skinny people must really work hard to stay skinny. We accuse them of eating rabbit food when we see them eating nothing but lettuce with no dressing and watch every tiny morsel that crosses their hips

There is a whole other group of thin people that make being thin look easy.

Naturally thin people have many traits in common that help to maintain their thin figures. After interviewing hundreds of naturally skinny folks over the course of 14 years, Ive come with seven skinny secrets they have in common. You might be able to identify with some of them and you also might be able to make a few slight shifts that would help you to become naturally thin too.

1. Thin is the thinking of the day with thin people. They KNOW they will be thin forever. They never talk about being fat, or not having enough to eat. They tell themselves thin stuff and their reaction to circumstances is different. They dont use food to placate themselves if something unpleasant happens or go on an eating binge when procrastinating. They dont see food as anything more than as fuel for their bodies. They may enjoy it, but that is all there is to it.

2. Naturally thin people do not diet. True Story. They would never ever think of dieting. If asked why, their response is that theyve never thought of themselves as anything but skinny so theyve never had to diet. During my many years of research one question I asked every thin person if they had ever been concerned about gaining weight and their response was always no. When I asked why not, the would tell me Ive never been heavy or over weight

3. Never mix emotions and food. If a thin person is sad, they go cry or talk to someone. If they become angry about something, they do something to relieve that stress like working out or punching their pillows. They just dont confuse emotions and eating because it makes no sense to them. The only time they think about food is when they become hungry " not because they are upset or sad. When upset or sad, they deal with those emotions. When they are hungry, only then is when they eat. They commonly deal with emotions in an emotional way.

4. Socializing does not require the thin to eat. If they go to a picnic or other social event where food is served, and they arent hungry, they dont mind standing around and talking without eating. If they ever get hungry, they will get a hotdog or a burger or something else to eat, but not until they are hungry. They go to enjoy visiting with family and friends, not merely to eat. Graxing isnt something they do.

5. The naturally thin eat foods they love. It would never make sense for them to eat celery sticks if they werent craving celery. They eat foods that they crave when they are hungry. They never go into deprivation mode by saying no, I cant have that. They know that they are entitled to eat whatever they want when they are hungry. No is not an option unless of course there is an allergy or sensitivity to certain foods.

6. Naturally thin people never eat just for the sake of eating or to numb themselves. They are conscious of the effect what they eat have on their bodies. They probably wouldnt be found at the movies with their hand at the bottom of the empty bucket of popcorn looking around for who ate it all. Naturally thin people pay attention to how hungry or full they are from the time they begin eating until they have finished the meal. These naturally thin people dont know anything about diets, counting calories or any other shenanigans.

7. Overeating is not something naturally thin people do. This group of individuals see no value in overeating. They know it saps their energy and causes their bellys to protrude. Yuck! Overeating causes extreme discomfort and reinforces the negative feeling while keeping them from overeating. Overeating occuis less than two percent of the time in naturally thin people.

Can you tell the difference in their mindset and actions?

Now you know that thin has nothing to do with luck, or genetics, the quality or type of food. Thin people dont gain weight because of how they eat, their connection with their body, when they eat and the freedom to choose any type of food.

If you are thinking about losing weight, you now know it isnt about diet since the naturally thin dont. And now is the time to do it!
