How to Think Like the Rich

By Rob Walcher D.C.

Thinking Rich!

Have you made up your mind that you are ready to move into the field where the big earners play? You're tired of low-income wages. You're tired of barely getting by. You're sick to the teeth of scrimping and never having enough. You are desperate for things to not just be better, but to be really great!

If you were able to nod in agreement with any of the statements above then before you continue there are a few questions you need to ask yourself.

First of all, if you really want to be a millionaire - how does a millionaire act? How do the real big earners think? And lastly what is the big difference between the rich people and poor people?

Collectively most people would reply to these questions in the following manner.

You think rich people live in fancy houses with luxury cars. You think that big time earners probably only think about how to spend all their money. And you think that the biggest difference between rich and poor people is that rich people have MORE money!

All of these answers and ways of thinking are wrong!

If you can't beat them, join them

If you wanted to ride in a rodeo you would probably have to start hanging out with cowboys. Obviously it would be in your best interest to learn the ropes from people who have been there, done that! Just because you want to be a cowboy, doesn't mean you are, right?

The point is that being wealthy or rich is a way of life too and it is in your best interest to learn the ropes from people who are already there. By knowing wealthy people and seeing the ins and outs of what makes them stay rich you will be able to learn a lot about how rich people think.

Let's be clear on one thing. People who are rich are wealthy on two levels. We are not just talking monetarily. Rich people have an attitude that makes them inwardly and outwardly wealthy. Most rich people can rebuild their circumstances at any time simply because they are fulfilled with a mind set that qualifies them to be rich.

Wealthy people are solutions-minded; problems are just an annoying bump in the road. Poor people crash at the first sign of a problem - they were sure it wouldn't work all along. The problem proved them right!

Wealthy people are willing to risk while a poor person wants to maintain a simple steady paycheck each week. Poor people would be afraid to take risks because they live in an insecure world. Wealthy people are pioneers and not afraid to forge ahead in independent thought and actions. Poor people tend to think in packs or are equipped with a herd mentality. Poor people allow outside sources to direct their thinking. Wealthy people see problems are ways to find solutions whereas poor people crumble with a bump in the road. The issues poor people face only solidify their fear that nothing would work out anyway. Wealthy people think long term, recognizing and accepting their ability to make extra income whereas poor people think small, in increments trying to always remain safe. Wealthy people don't procrastinate and are equipped to make momentary decisions as needed to further their goals whereas poor people tend to sit back and let things happen.

If you saw yourself in any of the above scenarios then it is time to revamp your thinking and get busy creating your future. Wasting time is not an option.

By living through the words of philosopher Jim Rohn who says

As business philosopher Jim Rohn says: "We all have two choices: We can make a living or we can design a life."

It's pretty obvious that wealthy, successful people have chosen the latter. Which will you choose?
