Infidelity DNA Testing Helps To set The Record Straight

By Patricia Donaldson

Years ago , partners that were suspicious that their mates were being unfaithful often had to go on hunch and any evidence that they could gather with a camera or from old receipts and matchbook covers, but the results were no where near as conclusive as they've been since dna testing came into widespread use.

Today, the partner who has reason to be suspicious has all the marvels of the scientific world at their disposal and many of the same technologies that first came to light with the advent of paternity testing. Now while the need for paternity testing which can also include a paternity dna test before birth, has the same accurate results as the one used for infidelity, there are some differences that merit attention.

Cheek Swabs

For example, the Infidelity DNA test involves evidence that goes beyond the cheek swabs that are common in the paternity testing version. Used condoms are one of the pieces that can be used in this test as well as undergarments or even bed linens. A little known fact that semen can remain detectable for a number of years helps the cause of the wronged spouse looking for justice in the form of this type of dna testing and these samples can also remain for a long periods on upholstery.

Signs

Remember that it's important to look for the signs that infidelity is taking place and one of the big ones that you need be aware of is your spouse or mate staying out later than usual. Another clear sign is when they stop paying attention you. This test is different from the paternity testing that the public is generally more aware of since these cases usually involve adults.

Regardless of the kind of dna testing that you need to bring some closure to your life, there are some things that you'll need to look for in the facility that you give the business to and one of the first things that you'll want to look for is reputation. Remember that reputation is generally built on the kind of work that a place does and as far as paternity testing or any of its derivatives goes, you need to make sure the laboratory has the proper credentials to do the job well.
