Spinal Decompression Therapy For Back and Neck Pain

By Randall Pruitt, DC, DACNB, DAAPM, MUAC, CES-NASM

If you have tried everything for your chronic back and neck pain and are still suffering, you need to look into spinal decompression therapy. This treatment has provided relief for even the toughest cases time and time again. With all of the new technology hitting the market regarding back and neck pain you would think the overall burden on our society would lessen, yet it has in increased instead.

If your back or neck pain is disc related, you can find relief with spinal decompression. This technology was developed specifically to to treat conditions like herniated, bulging and degenerative discs. The treatment works by decompressing the disc and increasing the flow of vital nutrition to help the discs regenerate.

Another common condition treated effectively with spinal decompression includes painful sciatica. This condition is usually secondary to disc material either compressing or irritating the sciatic nerve giving you leg pain. By treating the cause which in most cases is the disc the sciatic nerve pain is relieved.

I have offered spinal decompression therapy in my office for over 10 years and for the last 5 I have utilized the DRX9000. This technology has given my patients the relief they have desperately been searching for time and time again. It is so safe and relaxing that many patients actually fall asleep during the treatment.

Many people are confused as to how the treatment actually works. Spinal decompression is the only treatment that actually treats the cause of the pain, a damaged disc. By off loading the spine a negative pressure is created using patented software to bypass muscle reflexes. This negative pressure then effectively draws in the bulging or herniated disc material and helps the disc mend.

The protocol followed in my office typically includes 20 session of spinal decompression each lasting 30 minutes. This is then coupled with our proprietary core strengthening and spinal stabilization program to accelerate recovery.

The developers of spinal decompression technology had one goal in mind initially and that was to provide a viable alternative to back surgery. In most cases this can be achieved and patients in my clinic are proof.

Patented and FDA cleared technology has allowed a truly revolutionary breakthrough in the treatment of chronic neck and back pain. This process enables the achievement of exceptional results with minimal risk.

The treatment of back pain has changed dramatically over the past few years. With the realization that surgery is not an effective option and the rising costs associated with back pain both financially and personally spinal decompression is truly a beacon of hope.
