Why We Keep Our Eyes On The Road, Not The Car In Front.

By Mr WebbyFied

When driving, most of us focus on the road in front. We have this nutty tendency of watching the car ahead, and checking to see what they are doing. Every so often, we look to our sides and evaluate those situations to make sure we're safe. Sometimes we may even check out either side of us so we can switch lanes safely, but we always go right back to watching the road ahead.

This is absolutely crazy, isn't it? Why don't we just take our eyes of the road and look off to the side if we already know where it is that we want to go?

Because we'd end up crashing our car.

Oh, so that's the crazy method.

So, if that's loony, why do we do it in so many parts of our lives, particularly business?

Why is it that we convince ourselves that we will be able to drive towards that goal, successfully, without ever even focusing on it? That sounds absolutely ridiculous, doesn't it?

When you're looking off to either side, you're unwittingly turning yourself in that direction. You hands are on the wheel and they turn in the direction that you ask them to. Once you start worrying about that pole up ahead, you focus on the pole and realize your hands are doing what you want; turning the wheel towards the pole!

The only thing in your sights is the pole. You focus on it, and you only see the problem instead of a solution. Eventually you hit it, because you had your sights set on it.

Now, hitting the pole is if you're lucky. There's also the possibility of just turning and turning until you find yourself lost, in the middle of nowhere, with no gas left, and no direction, trying to figure out how all of this happened.

That lack of focus will get you to nowhere very quickly.

Check out our site now, and we'll give you our guide to help you get to your destination without the risk of crashing.

Until then, take the Red Pill, and see us in the morning.
