Exercise to Lose the Fat Fast

By Travis Killian

It seems as though the only advice that someone offers when you ask them how to lose weight is to diet and exercise. Don't you feel like slapping someone and saying duh? Obviously this is what you need to do, but how should you diet, how should you exercise? The next thing that you hear is that there is some sort of "miracle pill" that will melt the pounds off. Does anyone know what they are talking about anymore? Read on and listen to an expert at losing weight fast and supplement free.

Perhaps one of the most important concepts to realize about losing fat is that your metabolism is a powerful tool. This determines how many calories that your body burns throughout the day without additional exercise. You can imagine how important that it is to know how to speed up your metabolism. This is what exercise does, but not all exercise speeds up the metabolism in the same way. Some, such as long, moderate jogging will speed it up during exercise. However, there are other ones that can only require 15 minutes to speed up your metabolism throughout the rest of the day.

What can you do to speed up your metabolism throughout the rest of the day? The answer is High Intensity Interval Training. HIIT is an anaerobic exercise routine specializing in exercises performed at 90-95% of your max heart rate. An example of an HIIT exercise is sprinting. You will do this for about 15-30 seconds and do around 10-15 of them. Between each exercise, you will need to catch your breath by doing something like walking for a minute or two. After you have completed 10-15 reps, then you are finished and free to cool down, stretch and go home.

That's not so bad is it? Try it, you will see why so many people will avoid doing this. It is hard, you will have to push yourself, but you will get in the shape that you want fast. In fact, a study at Laval University showed that this training method made their trainees lose 9x more fat than those who did traditional cardio (20-60 minutes of moderate cardio). You can even combine this method with weight training to super-turbo charge your metabolism!

Remember, when you are going to exercise to lose weight, perform HIIT (high intensity interval training). You will burn more total calories and even boost your growth hormone levels (ever wonder why sprinters are so buff compared to marathon runners? They both run.). Most importantly, your metabolism will be elevated throughout the rest of the day.
